Please follow the steps below to install "Network Scanner Tool Lite" on your PC using the standard installation method:
Select the Software to Install a. Visit the "Software Downloads" page. b. Choose your country/region. c. Enter the name of the product. d. Select the desired language. e. Click the "Next" button. f. Your PC's operating system will be automatically detected. Click the "Next" button. g. On the "Downloads" page, click on the software you want to install. Example:
Country/Region: Asia
Product Name: Network Scanner Tool Lite Ver.2.0
Language: UK English
Note: If the auto-detected OS is incorrect, click [>>Select another OS] and manually select your PC's OS from the list. If the OS cannot be auto-detected, choose the appropriate OS from the provided list.
Download the Software and Save the File a. Click the "Download" button. b. In the window that appears, click "Save." c. Depending on your PC settings, the file may be saved automatically without prompting.
Execute the Installer a. Locate the downloaded file. b. Right-click on the file and select "Run as administrator." c. If prompted, enter the administrator password.
User Account Control Window a. When the User Account Control window appears, click "Yes" to allow the app to make changes to your device.
Language Selection Window a. Choose a display language for the installation. b. Click the "OK" button. Example: English (United States) Note: If you don't have .NET Framework 4.6 or later installed, a message will appear indicating the requirement. Click "OK" to close the window. For more details, refer to the section "When I try to install Network Scanner Tool Lite, a message 'Network Scanner Tool Lite requires .NET Framework 4.6 or later to be installed' appears."
InstallShield Wizard Screen a. On the "Welcome to the InstallShield Wizard for Network Scanner Tool Lite" screen, select "Typical." b. Click the "Next" button.
Windows Firewall Unblock Utility a. The "Windows Firewall Unblock Utility" screen will appear (only for the first-time installation). b. Click the "Allow access" button.
Scanner Selection Screen a. After a moment, the Scanner Selection screen will display a list of detected network scanners. b. Select the network scanner you want to use. c. Click the "Next" button. Note: Uncheck any network scanners that you don't want to use.
Profile Selection Screen a. The Profile Selection screen will appear. b. Enter the desired "Prefix" and "Initial" for your profile. c. Click the "Next" button. Example:
Prefix: sharp-001
Initial: "s"
Status of Profile Saving Screen a. The screen will show the status of profile saving. b. Verify that the profile is properly saved. c. Click the "Next" button.
Setup Complete Screen a. The "Setup complete" screen will appear. b. Check the box to "Launch Network Scanner Tool Lite to Add/Update the Profile/Scanner." c. Click the "Finish" button.
Activation of Network Scanner Tool Lite a. Network Scanner Tool Lite will be activated.
